About the Park

The Lok Kawi Wildlife Park is run by Sabah Wildlife Department under the Ministry of Tourism,Culture and Environment.The park covers about 280 acres of land including the Botanical Garden managed by the Sabah Forestry Department.At the moment,the park has more than 100 species of animals,reptiles and birds.On the Botanical side,there is a trail which leads to the Herbal and Ginger Garden.You may even catch a glimpse of the ever famous Pitcher plant.Some introduced dipterocarp tress also be found in this area.

Location

The Lok Lawi Wildlife Park is about 25KM(South West) of the capital Kota Kinabalu.It is easily accessible by either the Old penampang-Papar Road via Dongonggon town or the Putatan-Papar road.

Entrance Fees


The Entrance Fees : Visitor 18 years and above
                              i) Malaysian Citizen ...............RM10.00
                             ii) Non Malaysian Citizen........ RM20.00
                              
                               Visitor 3 until 17 years old
                             i) Malaysian Citizen.................RM5.00
                            ii) Non Malaysian Citizen.........RM10.00

                            Senior Citizen (60 years old and above) Malaysian Citizen only..........Free
                            Handicapped.....................................................................................Free

There is no any dining place but we can buy souvenir from their souvenir shop :)







We arrived Lok Kawi Zoo around 1.30PM and we round the zoo by taking the zoo's train,we also enjoy the animal feeding session at that time.





After we had visited all of the animal,we were having their animal show.The animal show was quite fun and the animal are amazing especially the "Ular Batik",they call it Amber and it's 6 years old with the weight about 16kg.
